Some more photos to share from my backlog. These are bicycle related:

For every temporary impediment to cycling…
…there’s a glittering invitation to go farther!

This is my favorite bridge in all of Massachusetts. Straddling Newton and Watertown, the Charles River Greenway Bridge is a beautiful structure spanning a beautiful river along a beautiful bike path. It has me dreaming of spring already.

The Norwottock Rail Trail bridge (Northampton) is also very nice!

You’re right, Carol, it’s a beauty. I’d love to ride it if I ever get out to that part of the state. We are in fact blessed with a number of picturesque bike bridges in MA. The North Bank Bridge, which goes under the Zakim is a great example, as is the simple one over the Assabet River in West Concord that’s part of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail.
Two new bridge projects I’m looking forward to are the nearly complete, partially open North Washington Street Bridge and the proposed (i.e. don’t hold your breath) replacement to the Northern Avenue Bridge. Links to each below:

Thanx for connecting, Carol. See you soon?
